Watching the play based on the Novel Khasakkinte Ethihasam by OV Vijayan, at Calicut medical college. A well conceived, marvelously acted and directed devotion to the drama art . An ever memorable show experience in my life. Hats off to the team. It was so nostalgic to sit in medical college ground and watching this art form bring the sweet memories of 1980 to 1990. Theatre gives the real feel of Khasak and the lives in the novel . It gives the smell, sounds and visual with appropriate usage of properties and the power of light and shadow. It was so great when seeing Kalanilayam drama scope play in 90's. But it was felt like a fantasy. Khasak is blended with real life and reflected the original scenes and concepts without losing its essence. In the nutshell, the director and artists were imparting a reading experience through visuals. In fact, the actors are not acting. They are living. I would like to call this amazing show, not as a drama. It is even beyond a drama. It is like a light and sound show on Khasak blended with human heart and soul ., I along with a thousand audience gave a standing ovation with heartfelt regards to the team when 3 hours and 25 minutes non-stop show ends at Calicut medical college ground.
