Emergency medicine in Kerala Dr.Azad Moopen Wrote 03.09.214

Dear Dr Venu

I feel extremely happy watching the positive developments in the area of EM in Kerala. You spearheaded this difficult task as an "one man army" for nearly a decade in spite of various obstacles .I remember vividly the resistance by most to accept a standalone EM. You worked diligently with passion and showed the perseverance to take EM in the country to the next level. I recognize the contribution by GWU who provided solid support in training programs.   You trained hundreds of thousands from lay public to professional colleagues  and became the brand ambassador of EM. Hearty congratulations , who deserves to be known as the Father of Emergency Medicine in Kerala

The allocation of large number of seats by National Board in Kerala and the accolades that is pouring in from the who is who of EM is the best certification for our efforts . While we the requirement for EM trained doctors are being addressed to some extent, we require large number of exclusive Trauma Surgeons for providing comprehensive and prompt service. I hope that National Board shall soon do the needed to address this as well as the requirement for more seats in Critical Care to run the ICUs more efficiently.

You have saved thousands of lives and trained hundreds of young doctors who are producing a cascading effect in the EM domain in country and abroad . It is  time to spread this wave of EM soon to the whole country.  Let me assure you that we will always be there to support you in this Caring Mission with a Global Vision

Regards
